Project News (December 2012)

 

In November we completed works on DAAT (Druggs & Alcohol Action Team) in Seaham for the NHS (60K).

 

We comemnced works on the stengthening & rebuilding of the retaining walls around the historic Moot Hall Court in Newcastle for HMCS. We were awarded the 2nd phase after we sccessfully coimplete the larger first phase last year and is due to be complete in March next year..

 

Project News (November 2012)

 

In November we completed works on 6 staff house for Durham University. The 270K project was completed on time.

 

We also commenced works on a remodelling project at Heighington Church of England School. The 400K project included extensions, alterations and refurbishment works and is due to be completed in March next year.

 

Company News (October 2012)

 

After a successful summer we have been able to secure our 2nd & 3rd Autumn/Winter contracts for Durham University.

 

During October we commenced work on the following schemes: 

  • Refurbishment of 48-50 North Bailey for Durham University. The various listed buildings originally housed the Law Department but after the refurbishment work the building will house the Music Department. (1.1m) (see below left)

  • Window Replacements at Collingwood College (420K) (see below right)

  • Refurbishment of the DAAT (Druggs & Alcohol Action Team) in Seaham for the NHS (60K)

Project News (September 2012)

 

After a busy summer at the end of September we successfully completed and handed over the following projects back to Durham University.

 

  • Phase 1 of Oswald Block Student Accommodation at Grey College in Durham. The initial 48 bedrooms and associated bathrooms, kitchens etc. that were fully refurbished as part of a 1.5m scheme, were handed back to the University. The College are delighted with the quality of the completed project and the management of the works, The second and larger phase is due for reoccupation after Christmas.

  • John Snow College in Stockton (780K). The 7 student accommodation blocks were handed back to the University on time for the students returning. During the summer we successfully refurbished 188 ensuite bathrooms and 38 communal kitchens. The standard of the workmanship has been highly commended by those involved in what was perceived by many within the University as a mission impossible.

  • Wear Block, Van Mildert College in Durham (750K). Our Third major student accommodation project was sucessfully handed over on time. The project involved extensive asbestos removal followed by the full refurbishment of the 58 bed block. Again we have had excellent feedback from the end users and the University over the quality of the finished work. Due to the sucess of the project we were asked to take on the refurbishment of the showers in a further two blocks during the the summer vacation period.

  • Construction of a Store & Alterations to Howlands Building for Durham University (150K)

  • Work to Kitchen & Restaurant at Middlesborough College (35K)

  • Replacement of Asbestos Ceilings at St Leonards RC Comprehensive School in Durham (40K)

  • Window Replacements at Greys College in Durham (90K)

  • Refurbishment of Rowan House for Durhham University (100K)

  • Refurbishment of a listed building known as Old Low Light in North Shields (350K)

During July we started work on the following schemes:

  • Refurbishment of 130 bed student accommodation including bathrooms & kitchens at Grey College in Durham (1.5m)

  • Toilet Refurbishment at St Patricks RC Primary School in Langley Moor (55K)

  • Flooring works at Our Lady of the Rosary in Peterlee (70K)

  • Summer Refurbishment Works at Carmel College in Darlington (20K)

  • Repair and Consolidation works to historic farm buildings in Summerhouses, Darlington (120K)

  • Refurbishment of a Temporary Classroom at Durham Trinity School in Durham (42K)

  • Alterations to the Travel Shop at Middlesborough College (33K)

  • Extension to Staff Car Park at St Leonards RC Primary School in Sunderland (15K)

  • Repairs & Maintenance Works to Castlebridge Centre in Bishop Auckland (50K)

  • Backlog Maintenanance Works at various sites for North Tees PCT (90K)

  • Nursery Canopy at St Joseph's RC Primary School in Billingham (30K)

  • Alterations as Ellamore Hall School in Pittington (25K)

  • Major Refurbishment of a 58 bedroom Student Accommodation at Wear Block, Van Mildert College in Durham (720K)
